A temporary exhibition titled “This is My Story: Aurora Mardiganian and Women Stories that Inspire and Empower the World” will showcase the story of the Armenian Genocide survivor Aurora Mardiganian. Her story and experience as an orphan and a refugee have inspired many, being an example of human courage and striving for survival. Mardiganian’s story will be the central one in a larger exhibition narrative, describing the extraordinary struggle and humanity of women of different ethnic and confessional backgrounds.
The exhibition will take place both in the Kamar Business Center building and in front of it. Modern visualization techniques and sound effects will be used to make the experience interactive and attract locals and visitors alike. The exhibition will highlight Aurora Mardiganian’s life and mission. Visitors will also be able to watch the silent movie “Auction of Souls.” 20 additional panels will showcase the biographies and missions of 20 women rescuers and relief workers involved in humanitarian work during and after the Armenian Genocide.
