Book Presentation: The All-Armenian Father of Orphans Devoted to Hovhannes Tumanyan by Susanna Hovhannisyan (First Edition in English)
The book The All-Armenian Father of Orphans by Susanna Hovahnnisyan features the 150th anniversary of Hovhannes Tumanyan and presents the all-Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan’s adoption story of orphans from Etchmiadzin, Alexandrapol and Tbilisi. It describes his paternal care and unforgettable role in the lives of the orphans.
The book features numerous examples of gratitude and includes the poems of orphans adopted especially by the Caucasian Union of the Armenian Writers, to the poet who was honored the name of the Father.
For the first time, together with the monograph, presented are the orphan’s letters to Tumanyan, that besides being the confirmations of the orphans’ existence, are the proofs of the tragic period.
